Every undergraduate student at MU is assigned an academic advisor.
For New Students
If you’re just starting at Mizzou, you will be assigned an academic advisor shortly after your first semester begins. If you have questions before then, feel free to reach out to the advising unit for your major using the contact information provided below.
For Current Students
You can easily find out who your assigned advisor is by checking the “My Advisors” page within the “Academic Records” tile in your myZou Student Center or finding your assigned advisor’s information in MU Connect under “My Connections” and/or “My Success Network.”

How to Contact Your Advisor
There are several ways for you to find your advisor’s contact information:
- Use the Outlook directory in your email.
- Look for your advisor’s email by clicking on “details” next to their name in the “My Advisors” page in the “Academic Records section of your myZou Student Center.
- You can also connect and schedule appointments with many advisors through MU Connect.
- Alternatively, you can also call the advising office for your school or college.
