One of the important things you can do as a student at MU is to establish a significant working relationship with your academic advisor.

Included on this Web site is a great deal of information about degree requirements, registration, policies, procedures and resources. But this is no replacement for a personal advising relationship in which your advisor is committed to helping you assess your own academic and career values and goals, and develop strategies to accomplish those goals.

Your advisor can introduce you to:

• Research opportunities.
• Community involvement.
• Semester abroad options.
• How to assess and apply to graduate schools.
• And on and on.
