When calling an advising office, please leave a voice message if necessary, and a staff member will return your phone call as soon as possible.
Every undergraduate student at MU is assigned an academic advisor.
For New Students: If you’re just starting at Mizzou, you will be assigned an academic advisor shortly after your first semester begins. If you have questions before then, feel free to reach out to the advising unit for your major at using the contact information provided below.
For Current Students: You can easily find our who your assigned advisor is by checking the “My Advisors” page within the “Academic Records” tile in your myZou Student Center.

To find your advisor’s contact information:
- Use the Outlook directory in your email.
- Look for your advisor’s email by clicking on “details” next to their name in the “My Advisors” page in the “Academic Records” section of your myZou Student Center.
- You can also connect and schedule appointments with many advisors using MU Connect.
- Alternatively, you can also call the advising office for your school or college.
